Invisalign® for a Beautiful Straight Smile – Faircourt Dental Smile Studio

If you have always wanted straighter teeth but thought you were too old to do anything about it, think again.

While not everyone is a good candidate for clear braces, a dental appointment with your cosmetic dentist in Grosse Point Woods will be able to say for sure whether you are suitable for invisible braces.

Dr. Mary Sue Stonisch is a preferred Invisalign® provider, and has helped 100s of people just like you ease their way into a beautiful smile with clear braces that are much more comfortable than conventional wires and brackets.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is a less invasive teeth-straightening system that gently moves teeth into the desired position using clear plastic trays. Much like tooth whitening trays, people who are suitable for Invisalign® will receive between 11 and 31 sets of aligners. Depending on the blueprint, those trays are out every 7 to 14 days.

How Does Invisalign® Work?

Invisalign® works because it gently moves teeth into position. Conventional braces, which have to be pushed and pulled, can be uncomfortable and painful. Old school wires and brackets can also take up to two years and even after that, some will have to wear a retainer. With clear braces, a few lucky patients see results in just six months while the average is between 12 and 18 months.

What is the Invisalign® Process?

If you are a suitable candidate for clear braces, digital pictures and photos with an intraoral camera are taken and sent to the Invisalign® computer software. That information is sent to the lab for manufacture. With Invisalign®, you can even see what your smile will look like before your treatment is completed.

You wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours every day removing when you brush and floss, and enjoy a meal. Because your aligners are clear, the only people who will know you are wearing them will be you and Dr. Stonisch.

Are Clear Braces for Everyone?

While a huge percentage of people are candidates for Invisalign®, people who have severely tipped or crooked teeth, extremely large spaces between teeth or a large over or under bite, conventional braces may be a better fit.

If you have slightly crooked or tipped teeth or teeth that don’t quite fit together or a gappy smile you and Invisalign® could be a match made in heaven.

Clear braces make a world of difference to your smile. Find out if you are a good candidate and schedule a no obligation Invisalign® consultation with Dr. Mary Sue Stonisch today.
